British F600 Autograss Class

19 cars turned up for round three of the F600 championship at North Shropshire. A fine sunny say had everyone in the mood for a good days racing and so it turned out to be.
The first set of heats were all close and eventually provided good wins for Lewis Kershaw (LM91), Andy Dingley (LM40) and Terry Cox (ST1).
The second set of heats were just as competitive with equally close racing with plenty of place-swapping going on. Heats wins here went to Zoë Leyland (LM47), Bryn Hawkins (WR32) and John Aldred (SC500).

A ferocious start to the final saw all 8 cars into the first bend at the same time. Out from the pack came Terry Cox (ST1), who once again proved what an experienced driver he is by leading all the way for an excellent win. Andy Dingley (LM40) came out the first bend is sixth place to work his way up the field to contest second with John Aldred (SC500), LM40 got under the SC500 car on the last corner to steal second place, closely followed by SC500 in third, followed by Zoë Leyland (LM47) in forth place.

Five cars turned up to contest the ladies F600. Heat wins went to Suzanne Gibbons (LM20) in the first and Emma Taylor (LM153) in the second heat, this was a great result considering this was only the second time she has raced and a showed a great turn of speed.
Suzanne Gibbons led the final only to lose the lead to Emma Taylor who looked set to cap her excellence performance in the second heat with a win in the final, until she made a mistake on the top bend running out wide and letting in Cathryn Day (LM2) who then went on to win the final.

Due to unforeseen circumstances it is unfortunate but the F600 committee have had to cancel plans to run the F600 Nationals at Central Scotland.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause the Central Scotland club and hope we can re-arrange something in the future.

21 cars turned up for the F600 championship at the North of England, the track provided some of the trickiest conditions it has for a long time. Several top competitors spun-out in the heats. Clever, tidy drivers were rewarded with strong heat points and a place in the final.

Chris Taylor led the way in the final, but was picked off by Terry Cox in the ST1 car who went on to win the final.
Zoë Leyland LM47 made easy work of the tough conditions to finish with a great second place ahead of John Aldred in SC500 coming in at third place.
With no 'B Final' on the day points were awarded from the standings at the end of the heats.
