Further Notes on Points Scoring

Dropped Meetings

For 2008, eight meetings are planned with only you top 6 points scoring meetings counting towards the BF600C.

Clarification:

If all 8 meetings are run: 0 meetings are cancelled: 2 meetings are dropped: Top 6 results count.
If only 7 meetings are run: 1 meeting is cancelled: 1 meeting is dropped: Top 6 results count.
If only 6 meetings are run: 2 meetings are cancelled: 1 meetings are dropped: Top 5 results count.
If less than 6 meetings are run:   No meetings are dropped: All results count.

With increasing the series to 8 rounds, introducing the dropped meetings allows people to take holidays, have bad meetings, or decide not to compete, without harming their chances of succeeding in the BF600C.

Penalties and Disciplinary Action

As previously mentioned, the spirit of the F600 class is to create, close, cheap racing by utilising budget components and unmodified engines.

Such regulations are open to abuse if not policed correctly and therefore strict, thorough scrutineering is required of each of the competing F600's in order to ensure that the regulations mentioned in the "Rules and Regulations" section are adhered to.

Competitors who are found to be attempting to obtain a performance advantage through consciously breaking the rules will be found and will be brought before the committee for disciplinary action.

Ignorance is not an excuse. If you buy an engine, ensure it is standard, if you buy a chassis, please ensure it conforms to the regulations before you turn up.

The committee running the F600 class and the BF600C are educated in all aspects of chassis design and engine modification and will pick up anyone who is found to be cheating.

ECU's Carburettors, Exhaust Primaries etc... can be easily checked, and will be.

If you suspect anyone is cheating then please inform the committee in writing (confidentiality assured). This will then be logged and the relevant checks performed.

All decisions are at the sole discretion of the F600 Committee.
